Hi my name is Grant my I am 11 years old. The best thing about being a boy is you get to have lots of fun playing with the dog and getting dirty. Sometimes I get away with not doing any jobs. I have a dog called katie she is an alsatian or German shepherd as they are also known. She is 11 months old. She was born on a farm in Devon where she ran around the farmers field with her parents and her sister. We had a long drive when we went to get her and on the way home she was sick in the car. We wanted to call her Kat, because Mum thought it would be funny to call the dog Kat. But my Dad said that he would feel silly shouting Kat up the street after the dog, so Kat turned into Katie, just too extra letters to save Dads sanity. We don't call her Katie very often now because she has many nicknames. Mum used to sing a song to the dog about Katie Kangaroo which is why we now call her Katie Kanga. Kanga rhymes with manga so we call her Manga sometimes too. Kanga and Manga also sound like Scaramanga, from the James Bond Film. Katie has more than just three nipples though, she has Six! We also sometimes call her Roo and Manga Mouse. Katie answers to most things, so she doesn't really mind having lots of different names. The best about owning Katie Kanga is she always wants to play, even when your in a bad mood. She cheers you up when your feeling down because she licks you and sit with you. When I knock a drink over accidentally I can blame the dog and she doesn't tell. Katie is my best friend, because she always cheers me up and wants to play and she's never nasty or grumpy. I think 'Dog is mans best friend' is false because I play with Katie the most, I think Dog is Boy's best friend! |
